Narative Art
Art that represents elements of a story. For example, history painting portrays famous events from the past, and genre painting represents everyday events. Narrative can also refer to a textual element, either accompanying or in the artwork. Some fine examples of narrative artists are Norman Rockwell, Winslow Homer, Eastman Johnson and Duane Michals.
